Strinteg has been added to the ongoing GDOT Cable-Stayed Bridges Engineering Services Contract as a sub-consultant to WSP USA Inc. (WSP). The contract includes providing bridge inspection and rehabilitation engineering services for the Talmadge Memorial and Sidney Lanier Cable-Stayed Bridges. “We’re excited to join the WSP team on this project and look forward to continuing to work on these signature long-span cable-stayed bridges. Our firm’s success to date has been a result of the career experience our employees bring working on prior cycles of bridge maintenance contracts throughout the country – being added to this ongoing contract is one more example of this,” stated Anthony Koloze, President at Strinteg.
Talmadge Memorial Bridge The Talmadge Memorial Bridge consists of prestressed, posttensioned continuous approach spans and a cable-stayed main span, traversing a total length of approximately 7,570 feet.
Sidney Lanier Bridge The Sidney Lanier Bridge consists of a two-pylon cable-stayed structure supporting a main river span and two back spans (total length of 2,500 feet) with a posttensioned concrete deck supported by concrete edge girders and posttensioned concrete floorbeams. Thirty-four approach spans consist of ten prestressed or posttensioned concrete beams for a total bridge length of 7,780 feet.
