Strinteg recently assisted Palmer Engineering in the inspection of the main truss spans of the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge. Built in 1932, the signature structure is a 5,865 foot-long bridge consisting of 11 deck truss spans. Each span consists of four separate truss spans supporting a 60′ deck width. The historic bridge connects Lorain Avenue with downtown Cleveland, OH. Our engineers used a combination of 100% tied-off climbing and rope access to gain proper access to the bridge elements.
