Strinteg recently assisted Palmer Engineering in the inspection of the main truss span of the Detroit-Superior Bridge. Built in 1918, the signature structure is a 3,112 foot-long through arch bridge crossing over the Cuyahoga River in downtown, Cleveland, OH. The bridge has approximately 96 feet of clearance above the river, and rises to 196 feet above the river at the peak of the main span. Our engineers used a combination of 100% tied-off climbing and rope access to gain proper access to the bridge elements.
